A thunderstorm produced hail seven miles northwest of Fluvanna. There was a report of broken home windows. The cost of damage is a very rough estimate.

An upper level trough was over New Mexico, and a cold front was across the central Permian Basin. High instability was in place across the area. These conditions resulted in thunderstorms with hail and strong winds developing across the northern Permian Basin.
