A marine thunderstorm wind gust of 43 knots was measured at Baiting Hollow mesonet station.
Wider weather episode
A slow moving frontal boundary triggered a line of convective showers with gusty winds from thunderstorms that formed off to the west, which gradually weakened as they moved east and into the western coastal waters.
