Event narrative

A surface trough extended across the western portion of Micronesia. The axis of the trough ended west of Chuuk but satellite imagery showed a that a band of thunderstorms formed east of it. One thunderstorm passed over the village of Iras, Weno Island, Chuuk State, The Federated States of Micronesia. The thunderstorms brought heavy rain and wind gust which caused a tree to fall on a house in the village. The fallen tree made a hole in the roof which caused some damage to the interior of

the house.
