Heavy rainfall caused an arroyo near Dilia to overflow its banks. No damages are known.

Wider weather episode

A persistent weather pattern and an abundant amount of moisture remained locked in place across New Mexico on July 5, 2021. This resulted in yet another active monsoon day across northern and central New Mexico with numerous showers and thunderstorms across the area. Thunderstorm activity developed early in the day across the higher terrain before moving southward onto lower elevations. The abundant moisture combined with slow thunderstorm motions resulted in a few storms producing heavy rainfall. A thunderstorm near Dilia caused an arroyo to overflow its banks, but no damage was reported.
