A waterspout was reported near the entrance to the Corpus Christi Ship Channel.

Strong thunderstorms moved through the Coastal Bend during the morning hours of the 16th. The storms reached the coastal waters of the Middle Texas coast by midday and continued into the afternoon hours. The storms produced wind gusts around 35 knots as well as waterspouts around Corpus Christi, Aransas, and Matagorda Bays.
