Storms fired along a warm front draped across northeastern Minnesota during the early morning hours of the 8th. Winds from these storms knocked down trees and flipped a few pontoon boats and boat lifts. One storm produced half dollar-sized hail before quickly dissipating as it approached Lake Superior.
