An upper level disturbance and associated area of developing low pressure across Southern New England helped trigger thunderstorms across the New Hampshire Seacoast. An unstable airmass caused by an advancing cold pool aloft and increasing shear allowed for strong thunderstorms bringing hail and gusty winds to the coastal waters.
