A severe thunderstorm that developed and sat over the Bend, OR area produced heavy rainfall with a cocorahs site reporting 2.68 inches of rain during the duration of the storm. This heavy rainfall led to ponding on a roadway near the intersection of highways 97 and 20.

Wider weather episode

A strong moisture plume with increasing surface instability under a southerly flow aloft produced strong thunderstorms across portions of Deschutes County, OR. These thunderstorms produced heavy rainfall and severe hail at times.
