The Kenosha lakeshore weather station measured 20 minutes of strong gusts as a thunderstorm moved through the area. The peak gust was 41 knots at 3:20 pm CDT.

A line of strong thunderstorms moved from southeast and east central Wisconsin across the Lake Michigan shore and nearshore areas during the afternoon, producing sporadic strong wind gusts in excess of 30 knots.
