An embedded mid level disturbance helped to develop showers and storms across the region through the early evening on this day, with strong to severe storms occurring across El Paso County through the far southeast plains. In this location high instability and strong forcing provided a setup for large hail and damaging winds to occur. The largest hail of 4 inches occurred across Kiowa county.
