A report via social media of a waterspout spawned from a shower approximately 20 miles west of Wiggins Pass.

Wider weather episode

High pressure breaking down, though a swath of enhanced moisture across the area supported showers and thunderstorms across the Gulf waters. As daytime heating increased, both the Atlantic and Gulf sea breeze boundaries developed. Due to southerly flow, showers and storms that developed moved northward along the sea breeze boundaries, with outflow boundaries emanating in all directions. One strong shower that developed and moved offshore Naples produced a waterspout.
