Showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of a strong cold front during the morning hours across east-central Wisconsin. Very large hail up to grapefruit size (4.5) fell over the Fox Valley region. The grapefruit size hail from Outagamie County was the largest on record for that county and tied for the third largest ever recorded in the state of Wisconsin.
