Event narrative

Up to four inches of rain fell in a short amount of time causing flash flooding. Several roads were flooded including Illinois Route 108 near Carrollton and Daum-Station Road south southwest of Wrights.

Wider weather episode

A mesoscale convective complex moved across portions of eastern Missouri and west central/southwest Illinois. There were several reports of flash flooding, as well as a tornado.
