Event narrative

Several trees and large branches blew down in Falls Church. A tree blew down near the intersection of Linden Lane and VA-337 Hillwood Avenue. The tops of four healthy oak trees one to two feet in diameter snapped off near Four Mile Run in Isaac Crossman Park.

Several showers and thunderstorms in a strong low-level wind shear environment produced damaging wind gusts.
