A slight risk for severe thunderstorms was outlooked for all of our area with very unstable conditions to the south of a warm front and ahead of a shortwave impulse lifting out of Ohio. CAPE values were running 1500-2000 J/kg, and shear values were running 20-25 knots in the west to 30-40 knots in the east. Wind damage and tropical downpours ended up the main hazards as wet bulb zero heights were over 14,000 feet. Severe thunderstorms were observed across much of the area and the adjoining Great Lakes waters.
