A thunderstorm moving to the east across the Atlantic waters offshore of Brevard county produced a wind gust of 37 knots from the west at Buoy 41009.

Wider weather episode

Numerous thunderstorms developed in the afternoon and evening hours and produced strong wind gusts along and offshore of the east central Florida coast, spanning from Daytona Beach to near Ft. Pierce. Two waterspouts were also observed just offshore of Volusia county, one being east of Daytona Beach and the other being east of Bethune Beach.
