LANDSPOUT. Location: 30.590, -104.550. A thunderstorm moved across Jeff Davis County and produced a landspout tornado west of Valentine. No damage was observed.

Wider weather episode

A cold front had moved into West Texas during the morning hours. Upslope winds had occurred in and near the Davis Mountains which enhanced lift. Fairly high moisture was across the area. These conditions had resulted in a thunderstorm that produced a landspout tornado.
