The eastern half of the zone remained in Extreme(D3) drought through the month while conditions improved to the west where there was no drought conditions reported across the southwest portion of the zone.

Wider weather episode

Most areas of Southern New Mexico received above normal precipitation for the month which improved drought conditions for much of the region.
