A large tree was blown down by thunderstorm winds along Dry Run Road.

A weak front near the Appalachian Mountains interacted with a warm, moist air-mass

to spark widely scattered thunderstorms. A couple of these storms produced damaging winds and penny size hail, and local rainfall rates of 3 to 4 inches per hour were observed.
