In the wake of a thunderstorms complex, winds increased across the Great Salt Lake Desert and Mountains. Automated weather station recorded peak wind gusts included 68 mph at Interstate 80 at Knolls, 63 mph at Callao, and 62 mph at Wildcat Mountain.
Wider weather episode
A squall line developed over northern Utah and produced widespread severe wind gusts and damage.
