In the wake of a thunderstorm complex, winds increased across the Tooele Valley. Automated weather station recorded peak wind gusts included 60 mph at Interstate 80 at Timpie and 58 mph at State Route 201 at Interstate 80.

Wider weather episode

A squall line developed over northern Utah and produced widespread severe wind gusts and damage.
