Event narrative

Estimated 14 inches of snow accumulation at the Windy Peak SNOTEL site (Elevation 7900 feet) in the North Laramie Range with 1.4 inches of snow water equivalent and 10:1 snow ratios. Additionally, received report from social media of 12.5 inches of snow accumulation from 21 miles east-northeast of Shirley Basin.

Wider weather episode

Mid-October snowstorm brought significant snowfall to portions of east-central Wyoming and the North Laramie Range on the 19th. Douglas received 6 inches of snowfall while the North Laramie Range received over a foot. Additionally, a few spots west of the Laramie Range received a few inches of snow accumulation.
