Event narrative

A social media photo was sent to amateur radio operators of a waterspout off of Duck Harbor in Wellfleet around 320 PM. The waterspout remained offshore and did no damage.

Wider weather episode

A slow moving cold front, instability, and a low level jet combined to produce an isolated tornado in northern Connecticut during the early morning hours and then a waterspout over Cape Cod Bay near Wellfleet during the mid-afternoon.
