The DRI wind sensor in the Carson Sink recorded a wind gust of 56 knots (64 mph). The gusty winds were the result of outflows from earlier thunderstorms near Fallon.

Scattered thunderstorms occurred across western Nevada during the afternoon and evening of June 21st. Small hail and gusty winds were common with the thunderstorms.
