Wider weather episode
Gusty winds arrived across North-Central Montana during the overnight hours on Wednesday October 27 as an upper level system and associated strong winds arrived. Although winds would initially be confined to the Rocky Mountain Front during the overnight hours, high winds would spread across the plains of North-Central Montana during the daytime as thermal mixing transported the stronger winds aloft to the surface. In addition, the winds did result in a few areas of blowing dust, which caused a few isolated areas of reduced visibility.
