All lanes of US 167 were flooded and closed from LA 748 to the Evangeline/Saint Landry Parish Line. Rainfall totals were 6 to 11 inches over a 6 hour period.

Wider weather episode

Hurricane Nicholas moved into the central Texas coast early on the 14th. The remnants of the system moved into Louisiana the late on the 14th then drifted around the state causing flooding.
