Event narrative
A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down numerous trees along River Road to the east of Bridge Road. One tree fell on a house, another on a cabin, and trees fell onto two parked cars.
Wider weather episode
A broken line of showers and isolated thunderstorms developed in a high shear, low CAPE environment just ahead of a cold front as it progressed eastward across Pennsylvania during the late morning and afternoon of October 16, 2021. This line produced sporadic wind damage as it crossed Elk and Potter counties during the late morning hours.
