Estimated snowfall amounts from SNOTEL sites were 8 inches at Bostetter Ranger Station and 10 inches at Howell Canyon.

The wider storm

A widespread storm brought some very early season heavy snow to eastern Idaho. Some mountain areas received up to a foot of snow with the Snake River Plain receiving in the 2 to 8 inch range. Some tree limbs fell due to leaves still on trees with heavy wet snow and many slide offs and accidents occurred.
