Event narrative

The COOP observer at Bone recorded 13 inches of snow. Soda Spring reported 10.5 inches and the Sheep Mountain SNOTEL had an estimated 13 inches of snow.

Wider weather episode

A widespread storm brought some very early season heavy snow to eastern Idaho. Some mountain areas received up to a foot of snow with the Snake River Plain receiving in the 2 to 8 inch range. Some tree limbs fell due to leaves still on trees with heavy wet snow and many slide offs and accidents occurred.
