A spotter 1WNW Yreka reported 4.5 inches of snow in 6 hours ending at 15/1300 PST. He later reported a storm total of 7.2 inches in 10 hours ending at 15/1700 PST. Elevation 2750 feet or 2690 feet, both elevations were reported.
Wider weather episode
A series of storms brought heavy snow and strong winds to some parts of northern California. This particular storm caused accidents and breakdowns that closed Interstate 5 in northern California for 23 hours between 15/1330 PST and 16/1230 PST.
