The cooperative observer at Odell Lake East reported 18.0 inches of snow in 24 hours ending at 16/0900 PST.

Wider weather episode

A series of storms brought heavy snow and strong winds to some parts of northern California. This particular storm caused accidents and breakdowns that closed Interstate 5 in northern California for 23 hours between 15/1330 PST and 16/1230 PST, and thus Interstate 5 was closed from Ashland south to the Oregon/California border as well.
