Storm totals ranged from 5 to 12.5 inches of snowfall, heaviest in Summit County.

Wider weather episode

The first significant snowfall of the season finally made its mark, impacting the mountains, high valleys, foothills, and much of the plains with much needed moisture. In the mountains and foothills, storm totals ranged from 8 to 18 inches. In the high mountain valleys of Grand, Jackson, and Summit counties anywhere from 6 to 12 inches was observed. Elsewhere 5 to 10 inches of snow fell west of I-25, 3 to 7 inches east of I-25, with 2 to 5 inches over the far eastern plains.
