Wider weather episode
Strong winds quickly returned to much of southeast Wyoming with gusts as high as 75 MPH being reported in Rawlins. Interstate 25 and 80 not only closed to light, high-profile vehicles, but also had to close due to winter conditions at times as a snow squall moved across Carbon and Albany Counties resulting in whiteout conditions. Additionally, the Snowy and Sierra Madre Mountains received 2 to 3 feet of snowfall on the 26th and 27th.
