Dry Branch Road was washed out a few miles southwest of Snowshoe.

Rain overspread the area on the afternoon and evening of January 9th ahead of an encroaching cold front. This feature coupled with melting snow from a storm days prior led to localized flooding issues in Wayne and Pocahontas Counties.
