Snowfall amounts of 7.5 to 10.5 inches were reported from the public, trained spotters, and broadcast media. A trained spotter reported 10.5 inches in Guilford, a trained spotter reported 9.0 inches in Milford, and a broadcast media reported 9.0 inches in New Haven, with another trained spotter reporting 9.5 inches in North Haven.

Wider weather episode

Coastal low pressure along the polar front developed in response to an upper level disturbance. This result in an moderate snowfall across some western portions of Southern Connecticut, with heavier snow across more most eastern locations.
