An accretion on colder surfaces reported on Twitter in Whitestone despite surface temps just above freezing with a deck, and stairs having a sheet of ice.

Wider weather episode

A southwest flow aloft overran a retreating and shallow cold air mass along a weak stationary boundary. This resulted in a brief but impactful period of wintry mix of precipitation which included freezing rain during the early morning hours and into the initial stages of the morning commute, but most impacts occurred just before the start of the main part of the morning commute.
