WYDOT mesonet station Skyline (KSKL) along Wyoming State Highway 230 measured maximum wind gust 12 miles east-southeast of Encampment. Saratoga Airport AWOS station (KSAA) also measured a wind gust of 58 mph.
Wider weather episode
Widespread high winds across much of southeast and south-central Wyoming resulted in extended road closures for light, high-profile vehicles. Many sensors along Interstate 80 in the North Snowy Range Foothills recorded wind gusts 60 to 80 mph.
