Windy Peak SNOTEL (Elev. 7900 feet) estimated 9 inches of snow accumulation with 0.5 inches of snow water equivalent and 18 to 1 snow to liquid ratios.
Wider weather episode
Widespread frontally forced snowfall event across southeast Wyoming backed up against the South Laramie Range extending eastward along the Cheyenne Ridge leading to 6 to 12 inches of snow accumulation from Wheatland to Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs. Farther west, Laramie saw 8 inches of snow accumulation and Interstate 80 and 25 saw extended closures due to winter conditions.
