Despite relatively weak upper-level support, strong mid-level warm air advection and frontogenetical forcing produced widespread snowfall across Michigan's upper peninsula from 2/5 into the morning of 2/6. South-southwest low-level flow supported lake enhanced snowfall across western Mackinac county where snowfall totals of 8 were reported in Curtis and southwest of Newberry.
