Rain changed over to snow early on February 2nd, with periods of moderate to heavy snow continuing through the late evening hours. There was a report of 9.3 inches of total snow accumulation 3 miles northeast of Knox, with 9 to 13 inches common across the county. There were slide-offs and accidents across the area, with school and several businesses closed due to the heavy snow and blowing snow.
