Rain changed over to snow late in the afternoon on February 2nd, with periods of moderate to heavy snow continuing through the late evening hours of February 3rd. Winds also picked up on February 3rd which led to significant blowing and drifting. Total Snow accumulations ranged between 8 and 12 inches across the county. There were slide-offs and accidents across the area, with school and several businesses closed due to the heavy snow and blowing snow.
