Widespread wind gusts over 50 MPH occurred. Fremont Canyon RAWS reported a max wind gust of 66 MPH and Case Springs RAWS reported a max wind gust of 72 MPH.
Wider weather episode
A frontal system accompanied by an atmospheric river moved into Southern California in the middle of December. This impacted the area by flooding and wind damage, as well as higher elevations receiving significant snowfall, where roads were impacted.
