An upper-level disturbance triggered a period of snow. Snowfall amounts averaged around 1 to 3 inches across the farther northern and western suburbs of Washington as well as northern and northeastern Maryland. Localized amounts of 3 to 5 inches were reported in the higher elevations of north-central Maryland.
Upslope snow developed along and west of the Allegheny Front on the night of the 13th into the early morning hours of the 14th. Snowfall averaged around 2 to 4 inches in Garrett County near and west of Keysers Ridge.
