Event narrative

A range of 15 to 30 inches of snow fell between December 10-13. Rates were generally advisory level, but there was a 12 hour period where 10 to 14 inches of snow fell early on the 11th.

Wider weather episode

The first major winter storm of the season dumped over a foot of snow in the Cascades and the highest elevations of the Coast Range. Much of the snow fell on the 11th in the higher elevations, then snow levels lowered enough to produce significant accumulations in many areas above 2500 feet.
