At Roan Mountain State Park, 4.5 inches of snow was reported.

A Clipper low pressure system brought very cold air and snow showers to much of East Tennessee. A northwest flow enhanced the snow amounts in the higher elevations of the Cumberland Plateau and mountains along the North Carolina border.
