Event narrative

Snow began to fall around midnight on the 18th, with a quick 15 inches of new snow reported at the Mount Baker Ski Resort in a 12 hour period by noon (on the 18th). Heavy snow then continued into the 19th, with 21 inches reported in a 24 hours period at the same location previously mentioned. Snow then quickly tapered during the early morning hours of the 19th.

Wider weather episode

Another strong Pacific Storm system brought heavy snow to the mainly the North and Central Cascades. The frontal system also brought breezy winds to the Western Washington lowlands, but no notable impacts and/or high wind were verified.
