Event narrative
A combination of high winds and heavy snowfall resulted in winter storm conditions. Precipitation amounts included 1.0 to 1.2 inches of snow water equivalent, or approximately 12 to 15 inches of snow, at Hayden Fork, Trial Lake, Redden Mine, and Chalk Creek SNOTELs. In addition, automated weather stations recorded high wind gusts, including including 84 mph at Windy Peak and 79 mph at Lofty Lake Peak.
