Minor sheet flooding from snow melt continued in March but effects were minimal and mainly limited to road damage and some field flooding.

Some minor flooding and road damage occurred from a combination of snow melt with the extensive warmup during the month.

Ice Jam on Birch Creek caused high water over Hwy 28 near Lone Pine on the border of Lemhi and Clark counties.

Clark County was declared a natural disaster area by the USDA due to barley crop loss in August from heavy rains. Eastern Idaho lost about 64 million dollars of barley crops due to the rains with a portion of that occurring in Clark County.

Heavy rain in thunderstorms caused flooding of one house south of Spencer.

Localized flooding occurred in Dubois from March 10th through the 17th caused by melting snow on frozen ground as well as ice jams in Beavercreek. Local flooding of streets occurred as well as some water in basements but substantial property damage was avoided.

Flooding of pasture and agricultural fields occurred. Some roads in the Kilgore area were flooded and several roads werre raised to avoid the flood waters.
