Numerous traffic accidents and delays occurred due to the snowfall. Less than a half inch of snow was estimated to have fallen. A 41 car accident closed southbound Interstate 75 for several hours. The accident occurred at 12:22 PM one mile north of the Crittenden exit.
Strong winds of 40 to 50 miles per hour were sustained for several hours. Gusts over 60 mph were common. Widespread damage occurred across the region, from trees being blown down on powerlines to significant structural damage.
