A water rescue was conducted near Mason Creek on Highway 359. A vehicle was swept off the roadway by the flash flood. Fire department dive team members recovered the body of the victim from the submerged car. The 77-year-old victim was a local farmer.

Thunderstorm winds lifted the roof of a home on Highway 758 south southeast of Morganfield, causing a few columns on the porch to become displaced. Some shingles and guttering were also removed, and the HVAC system was turned on its side.

Late February flooding continued into early March along the Ohio River at Shawneetown. Flooding of bottomland and surrounding low-lying areas occurred. River levels fell just below flood stage late evening on the 1st.

Minor flooding of bottomland occurred around J.T. Myers Lock and Dam.

Moderate flooding of bottomland and surrounding low-lying areas occurred near Shawneetown. Several county roads also flooded. The Ohio River at Shawneetown crested at 44.7 feet which is above the moderate flood stage of 43 feet.
